Parents/guardians of students in grades 3-8 during the 2021-22 school year, you received an email from the district yesterday regarding the upcoming availability of your child's STAAR scores through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Parent Portal. TEA initially planned to release these scores to parents on Friday, June 24. We have been notified that scores will not be available on Friday, June 24. TEA now tentatively plans to release the scores next week, but they have not yet provided a date. We will keep you updated as we receive additional information, including a definite date for scores to become available.

As a reminder, LCISD links the TEA Parent Portal through Skyward Family Access to make accessing scores easier for parents and guardians. However, LCISD will close Skyward Family Access Tuesday, June 27-Tuesday, July 5 for maintenance. This means that if TEA does, in fact, make STAAR scores available next week, you will need to log in directly to the TEA Parent Portal to view scores. We will provide detailed instructions on this process when we notify you of the date scores are set to become available. Thank you for your patience.

If you would like to read the full statement from TEA, we have provided it below:

"The purpose of this communication is to inform Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools of an adjustment to the release date of the May 2022 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) grades 3–8 student results in the family and analytic portals. As you know, our preliminary plan was to make the data available Friday, June 24.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is running additional analyses on the data as part of an enhanced due diligence process. Results are now tentatively scheduled to be available next week in the family and analytic portals. TEA will provide another update on the timing of the data release as soon as possible."
